Messianic Jewish Devotional for Couples on Parasha Bo

Listen to your Devotional HERE

Parashah Bo "Come" (Exodus 10:1–13:16)

Theme: Redemption & Covenant Love

Scripture Focus

"And the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." Exodus 12:13

Devotional Thought

Parashah Bo is one of the most powerful portions in Scripture, marking the final plagues, the institution of Pesach (Passover), and the ultimate deliverance of Israel from slavery in Egypt. It is a story of redemption, covenant faithfulness, and the power of obedience.

As a couple, your relationship is a reflection of the covenant that Adonai establishes with His people. Just as the Israelites had to trust in the blood of the lamb to protect their homes, we trust in Yeshua, our Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7), to redeem and cover us.

Marriage is also a journey of trust. Sometimes, we face "plagues" in our relationship communication, financial struggles, and past wounds. Still, just as Israel was called to obedience, we, too, are called to walk in faithfulness and cover each other in love and prayer.

Reflection & Discussion

  1. Where is God calling us to trust Him more in our relationship?
  2. How can we "apply the blood of the Lamb" over our marriage, practically and spiritually?
  3. What areas of our relationship require greater obedience to God’s Word?

Prayer Together

"Abba, thank You for the blood of Yeshua, our Passover Lamb, who covers and redeems us. Just as You led Israel out of slavery, lead us out of anything that holds us back from fully loving each other. Teach us to walk in covenant faithfulness, just as You are faithful to us. May our home be a place of peace, trust, and devotion to You. In Yeshua’s name, Amen."

Action Step as a Couple

This week, take time to bless each other in prayer. Speak life over your spouse and your relationship. If possible, partake in communion together, remembering Yeshua as your Passover Lamb and the covenant you share with God and one another.

Shabbat Shalom!
