Devotional Thought:
In Vayera, Avraham and Sarah experience divine visitation, covenant confirmation, and the ultimate test, the binding of Isaac (Akedat Yitzchak). For couples, this portion reveals that G-d’s promises often mature through testing. Love in covenant is not proven by comfort but by faithful endurance.

Reflection for Couples:

  • How do we respond when G-d’s promises seem delayed?
  • In what ways can our faith strengthen each other during hardship?
  • How can we welcome G-d’s “visitation”, His presence, into our home?

Counseling Insight:
Marital faith is strengthened when both partners learn to see trials as sacred opportunities for growth. The presence of Ad-nai in the “tent” of our marriage brings renewal and intimacy.

Prayer:
“Ad-nai, appear to us in our daily life. Let our home reflect Your covenant love, tested yet steadfast, as we walk together in faith.”
